Our largest pool is located at Town Center.  It is 25 meters in length and perfect for lap exercise, water aerobics or just floating around. Additionally, there are pools at NC1, NC2 (salt water) and the Villas.

If you are looking for more dry heat, the Sauna is here for you. Located in NC-1, bring your towel and turn up the heat.

Tennis is a popular activity that combines the physical exercise so many are seeking with the blue skies and sunshine at Happy Trails Resort. The weather almost always cooperates and the great Arizona sunshine and warm temperatures are perfect for fun times with friends from all over the U.S. and Canada.  The courts are waiting for you…and there’s sure to be others who want to join you for a great game!

Happy Trails Resort is very fortunate to have Residents that offer CPR/AED Training each year. Classes are scheduled the second Friday of each month.  Classes are held in the Manzanita Room: Friday afternoon 1-4 PM and Saturday morning 8-11 AM. However, always check the Community Calendar for exact dates, times and places.

AED’s are located throughout the Resort:
Town Center Library, Chuckwagon, Fitness Center, and at NC1, NC2, Cascades, Villas, Guard House, Ranch and in the alcove at the back of the Performing Arts Center and the Dog Park. Click HERE for a Locations Map.

The gazebo sits on the edge of a fish-filled pond bordering Great Eagle Golf Course. You can enjoy the water fountain, view the White Tank Mountains or watch the dogs play on the grassy area beside it. There are tables and chairs in the gazebo, which makes it the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, have a club meeting, or organize a happy hour. The Gazebo can be reserved through the Activities Office.

Our off-leash Dog Park provides plenty of room for “running & playing” with other friendly dogs who live at Happy Trails. Please observe the times for small dog hours and large dog hours. But, we also have times for both sizes of dogs to meet plenty of friends.

Your Pet’s current vaccination information is to be registered at the HTCA Office. Pets must be leashed while on community property – and please pick up after them. For more information on joining in on the fun, inquire about joining the Happy Trails Pet Owners Club.

The Library is located in Town Center. It is stocked with a vast selection of books and audio books, magazines and jigsaw puzzles. You may “check out” books on the honor system… when you are finished, just place them back on the cart by the back door – a volunteer will re-shelf it. You may also donate books by placing them on the appropriate cart, which is also by the back door.

A community TV is available. As well as several computer stations for you to use your own laptop with facility provided Wi-Fi. You do not need a password, just click on Happy Trails at the available networks prompt. ** Please note the connection is NOT secure, so use caution when doing your financial business at this public spot!

The Mail Center is a contract postal station serving Happy Trails residents only.

Meeting rooms are available to Happy Trails residents by reservation only throughout the year. Each room is equipped with tables and chairs, and some also include TVs for presentations or entertainment.

These rooms provide a comfortable and convenient space for meetings, club gatherings, or small private group parties.

The dedication of Memory Park took place on March 30, 1994, inspired by a Happy Trails resident’s wish to create a lasting and public way to remember her husband. The concept of the park was to designate a permanent area where cacti and other desert plants could be planted, nurtured, and enjoyed by all.

Over the years, Memory Park has become a cherished place to honor deceased residents of Happy Trails — a peaceful setting where friends and neighbors can reflect, remember, and celebrate the lives of those who have been part of our community. Each plant and marker stands as a living tribute, symbolizing the love and memories that continue to grow within Happy Trails.

These buildings are set throughout the Resort and contain many amenities, such as laundries & showers, pools, hot tubs, and kitchen facilities.

The Courtyard, located in the Town Center, is a welcoming outdoor gathering space for residents to relax and connect. The area features tables with umbrellas and comfortable seating, making it the perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors while visiting with friends. Many community Happy Hours and social events are held in the Courtyard, adding to its friendly and lively atmosphere.

The Happy Trails Performing Arts Center (PAC) is a state-of-the-art, multi-use facility located in the heart of the community. It accommodates up to 750 people with chairs only, or 400 people with tables and chairs.

The PAC is in constant use throughout the year, hosting a wide variety of events including live entertainment, board meetings, dinners and dances, worship services by the Happy Trails Christian Fellowship, monthly Vendors Day, and many other community gatherings.

Equipped with professional audio, video, and stage lighting systems, the Performing Arts Center provides an exceptional venue for both residents and guests to enjoy high-quality productions and events.

The Happy Trails Pony Express is a dedicated group of about 40 volunteers who patrol our Resort Monday through Friday on a “horse” that looks exactly like a golf cart! 🐴⛳

Working closely with Patrol and the HTCA Office, the Pony Express helps keep our community safe and running smoothly by providing the following services:

• Delivering messages

• Unlocking doors

• Checking swimming pool gates

• Assisting with traffic control during events

• Performing safety checks on all nine AED units

• Checking the 9-1-1 emergency phones

• Helping keep roadways clear for emergency vehicles

The Pony Express provides a valuable service and proudly serves as the community’s “Good Will Ambassadors.”

So when you see them making their rounds—be sure to give a friendly “HOWDY!” 🤠

The Fun & Games Club collects and recycles aluminum cans to raise funds for various projects in and out of Happy Trails Resort. Their efforts help support community enhancements while promoting environmental responsibility — a fun way to give back and make a difference!

♻️ Can Collection Location:
The can collection area is located down Happy Trails Blvd near the car wash.

At the north end of Happy Trails Blvd., you’ll find a convenient two-bay wash area to keep your vehicles sparkling in the Arizona sun. Just bring your quarters, or use the onsite bill-change machine.

• One bay is for washing only.

• The second bay is designated for vehicle maintenance, such as checking or adding fluids — since these tasks are not permitted on residential property.

Additional amenities include a free air hose, an RV dump station, and a vacuum cleaner available for $0.50.

Homeowners may request a reservation for space in the Happy Trails Storage Lots.

To check for availability, please contact the RV Storage Administrator during business hours:

Once availability is confirmed, submit the Storage Reservation Form and reservation fee to the HTCA Office.

If you enjoy working with wood, the Sawmill is the perfect place for you! This fully equipped workshop offers a wide range of woodworking tools and machinery to help bring your creative ideas to life.

Members’ projects range from small decorative pieces and shelves to bookcases, furniture, and even handcrafted grandfather clocks — you’re limited only by your imagination.

Happy Trails modernized shower and laundry facilities. The facilities are conveniently located by pool and hot tub amenities in Neighborhood Centers and Town Center.

In the age of technology, Wi-Fi Hot Spots are essential. Happy Trails provides Wi-Fi in the following areas: Town Center, Neighborhood Center 1 (NC1), Neighborhood Center 2 (NC2), Cascades Center and the Villas.

When a guest or visitor arrives at Happy Trails Resort, the Patrol Gate House is their first point of contact.  Our Patrol/Safety department maintains 24/7 coverage for our residents.
Residents may use a smartphone APP that communicates directly with Security to notify the Gate House of visits planned by non-residents.
